Gospel Artist Deitrick Haddon Remarries to Dominique Mctyer
That was fast. It was just last April that the public learned of Oxygen’s “Preachers of LA” cast member Deitrick Haddon’s split from his wife of 15 years, Damita Haddon, over adultery allegations allegedly involving fellow gospel singer, Isaac Carree.
But now, the 40-year-old dad of Destin Monet has moved on with his life and tied the knot with his new 29-year-old bride and baby’s mother, Dominique Mctyer.
“Officially a married man, one of the greatest days of my life,” Haddon posted online, celebrating his private nuptials that took place over the weekend. “Thank you for all of your prayers and well-wishes. God Bless!”
But everyone was not celebrating with Haddon.
The announcement, which garnered mixed reactions and more than 1,700 Facebook comments within 12 hours of posting, included a combination of confusion, condemnation, and congratulations.
Some, like commenter Kathy Rogers-Smith were unaware of the dissolution of the award-winning singer’s first marriage and asked very simply, “Where is Damita?”
Others quoted scripture about the sinfulness of divorce.
